MAGALANG -- A 63-year-old woman from Barangay San Isidro in this town died recently from coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
This was gleaned in the August 18, 2021 update of the local government unit (LGU).
Some 63 residents had died from the virus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The LGU also confirmed 11 new active cases of Covid-19.
The patients include another senior citizen, a 66-year-old man from Barangay San Nicolas 2 and a 16-year-old woman, also of the same village.
These have brought the total number of active cases to 113 as of August 18.
Mayor Romy Pecson said that 940 out of the 1,105 total patients had recovered from Covid-19.
The mayor appealed to the residents to get vaccinated and observe health protocols.
