ELEMENTS of the San Fernando Police Station, in a pursuit operation, figured in an armed encounter with two suspected Basag Kotse Gang members, resulting in the killing of one of the suspects.
Elements of this station led by Police Lieutenant John Clark conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspects, who were allegedly involved in the recent string of forced opening and theft of properties inside cars within the city.
The said operation resulted in an armed encounter when one of the suspects engaged the operatives in a gunfight. One of the suspects was shot, while the other suspect managed to escape on foot going to an unknown direction.
The suspect who was shot was attended to by the city's emergency response unit but died, according to police reports.
Initial pieces of evidence recovered at the crime scene included one caliber .38 pistol.
