AT LEAST 800 families in the towns of Calumpit and Malolos City in Bulacan received relief goods from Chief PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde and Central Luzon Police regional director Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus.
Albayalde and Corpus on Wednesday, August 15, distributed the relief goods, said Superintendent Fe Grenas, chief of the PRO-3 Public Information Office.
Grenas said more or less 1,000 bags of relief goods containing sacks of rice, canned goods, noodles and bottled water packed by PNP-NHQ and PRO-3 personnel were received by the affected families.
In an interview, Albayalde said that aside from Calumpit and Malolos, relief operations will also be conducted in other provinces of Central Luzon including Bataan and Pampanga.
Corpus said that "the distribution of relief goods is not just our initiative but has been part and parcel of our disaster operations aside from our search and rescue tasks." (Ric Sapnu)
