POLICE arrested three Hong Kong nationals in Basilan province for illegal entry on Wednesday, May 2.
Senior Superintendent Rufino Inot, Basilan police director, identified those arrested as Tsz Kin Tsui 40; Wang Po, 33; and Chun Wai Ho, 32. They failed to present their travel documents.
Inot said the three foreigners were arrested around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Dasalan, Hadji Muhtamad, after village officials reported to the police the presence of three foreigners as highly suspicious.
Inot said the three Hong Kong nationals claimed to have traveled aboard a double-engine speed boat from Hong Kong to Indonesia and then to Hadji Muhtamad "to gas up there (before) going back to Hong Kong."
He said they also claimed to have traveled to Thailand in February this year.
Inot said the three foreigners were turned over to the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) for proper disposition.
