A SUSPECTED "drug dealer" was arrested while some P40,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in a buy-bust operation Saturday, August 4, in Zamboanga del Sur.
Ayatulla Aidil Arajan alias Tuls, 39, was arrested in a drug bust around 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, in Sitio Bagong Silang, Barangay Sta. Lucia in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said Arajan allegedly sold two small heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) for P500 to an undercover policeman.
Galvez said they seized from the suspect three large heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P40,000 as well as the P500 marked money.
The suspect, a resident of Logoy Grande in Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City, will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
