A TRIBAL chieftain was killed in a gun attack by an unidentified assailant in a remote village of Zamboanga del Sur Tuesday, December 18, police said.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said authorities are now conducting manhunt operations against the suspect who shot and killed 75-year old Subanon Tribal chieftain (Timuay) Quizon Situl.
Galvez said Situl was at his cornfield when the gunman shot him around 8:50 p.m. at Purolk Lenaw Gabi in the village of Sayog, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur. (VoxPop Philippines)
