THE Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), backed by policemen from Zamboanga Sibugay, arrested a newly-identified drug personality in the province, an official said Tuesday, May 19.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Jason Comida Pusod, 28.
Galvez said Pusod was nabbed in a drug bust conducted around 9:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Park Luz, Ipil Heights village, Ipil, the capital ng Zamboanga Sibugay.
Seized from Pusod were P28,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu packed in 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets, P500 marked money, and five P1,000 counterfeit bills.
She said the suspect was detained, while formal charges are set to be filed against him. (VoxPop Zamboanga)
