THE "Pascua na (Christmas in) Zamboanga 2018" reels off Friday, November 23 with the grand switch-on ceremony of the light display in city hall and other land marks of Zamboanga City.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar will lead the traditional switch-on ceremony at 6 p.m. that will officially commence the Christmas season in this city. She will be joined by other city government officials.

She said this year's Christmas light display and decors complement the theme "I Love Zamboanga" demonstrating peace, love and joy and are hand-made by the General Services Office team.

The mayor has invited the residents to witness the ceremony as city hall lights up for Christmas.

She said the landmarks that are part of the light display include Paseo del Mar, Rizal Street, Veterans Memorial Monument, Mayor Vitaliano Agan Avenue (Nuñez Extension), Rotary rotunda, Plaza Pershing, and Jardin Maria Clara in Pasonanca Park.

A 40-feet giant Christmas Tree was also erected at the Paseo del Mar. (Bong Garcia/VoxPop Philippines)
