POLICE Regional Office-Central Visayas Director Debold Sinas said on Wednesday, August 1, that Tejero, Cebu City Barangay Councilor Jessielou Cadungog is a drug personality.
He said Cadungog had been included in the watchlist of the Philippine National Police and President Rodrigo Duterte.
The police official said they will request for the revocation of the licenses of Cadungog's 13 firearms, all of which are high powered.
On Wednesday, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Visayas filed murder chargaes against Cadungog and his driver for conniving to kill Police Officer 3 Eugene Calumba and attempted murder for trying to kill Calumba's companion Michael Banua, a civilian police asset.
Calumba was riding on the motorcycle driven by Banua. Police said they were on surveillance work on illegal drug trade acivity when Calumba was shot.
The police officer did not fire a single shot based on the paraffin test, Sinas said.
The complaints were filed before the Cebu City Prosecutor's office.
Calumba's wife welcomed the complaints, saying she wants justice for his death.
Sinas said they have two witnesses who can confirm that Cadungog was inside the red vehicle when Calumba was shot.
